Blue Mountains Hotel School Scholarship Opportunities
Blue Mountains Hotel School is pleased to announce that there are a range of scholarships available our 2015 intakes.
BMIHMS Scholarships
Scholarships available
National Undergraduate Scholarships up to the value of AUD$20,000 each (Australian Citizens)
State Undergraduate Scholarships up to the value of AUD$10,000 each (Australian Citizens)
Motivational Undergraduate Scholarships up to the value of AUD$3,000 each (Australian & New Zealand Citizens)
Motivational Postgraduate Scholarships up to the value of AUD$5,000 each (Australian & New Zealand Citizens)
Closing dates for scholarship applications:
- 22nd May 2015 for July 2015 Intake
- 21st August for September 2015 intake
Undergraduate scholarship amounts will credited towards residential fees.
Postgraduate scholarship amounts will credited towards tuition fees.
Scholarship Application Process
To apply, please submit the following information:
- Completed BMIHMS Scholarship Applications for your desired intake – must be submitted by the deadline stated.
- A cover letter outlining their merit and need for the scholarship, personal qualities and achievements as well future aspirations. For the National Scholarships this needs to be at least 500 words.
- Resume outlining their schooling, work experience, extra curricular activities, career goals, interests and hobbies etc.
- Certified copies of any certificates and transcripts received (including year 11 & 12 results where applicable).
- Letters of reference from a teacher, or employer
All scholarship applications will be judged on all aspects, as well as merits. Scholarships awarded are for the specific intake of study. (Scholarships cannot be transferred to another start date). For the National Scholarships the selected applicants will be invited to attend an interview which may involve phone, face to face and panel interviews/workshop.
The successful applicants will be requested to assist with certain duties during their time as a student. These responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, becoming members of the SRC and / or other student ambassadorial duties.
